Charity Softball Tournament

Coming this June 10th is the 10th edition of the “Jess Davis/AMSLLA Softball Charity Challenge.” 11 years ago, we started this event to honor our friend and teammate who passed away from leukemia. Now, we find ourselves in 2012 with an event that has grown in participation as much as it has grown in pure joy for all of the participants. I’m in awe of the response I get from so many of you after each tourney sharing your enthusiasm and enjoyment for this event. And we raise a tidy sum for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society to aid in the work they are doing to put an end to this disease.
 
We are returning to Big League Dreams Park in Chino Hills this year,  we do have to pay for the fields all day. The best way to make this a win-win scenario is to get more players involved, so that we maximize all of the diamonds. This is where each of you come in. We need more players! Last year, we had a strong attendance . We’re shooting for at least 160 this year. So go ahead and start spreading the word. More players means more teams. More teams means more fun (and possibly more beer, too).
 
We are taking sign-ups now via the email listed on the flyer. Ross and I will be out at the AMSLLA games in April and May recruiting. Remember, this tournament is open to all players at any level, so bring it on! See you on June 10th!
